It’s still criminal the way they got rid of Taki and yet kept Oxelaide Chamberlan and Curtis Jones despite scoring 10 goals without even getting regular game time 🤦🏻‍♂️

Salah- Almost invisible in this game as he has been for every game since the World Cup making good runs on occasion and creating problems for defenders but doing simply nothing with it. Gakpo- Got into a number of good positions but rushed when given the ball and went to score when he should have passed. Elliot- Played okay, had some of the brighter sparks of the team but sadly not enough to pull us across the line this time. Nunez- Got behind the back line and made some good runs as usual but overall had little to no impact. Jones- Understandable that we’re still low on players up front but shouldn’t be playing at wing regardless. Bajcetic- Continues to have promise and heart that the rest of the team lack but it’s clear that he’s not ready to be starting for games like this, consistently getting bullied in midfield. Keita- Actually one of the better performances that we’ve seen from Keita so far this season, made some good passes through to Salah but was still out of his depth at times. Thiago- On the other hand this was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from Thiago, constantly making rushed passes toward whoever he saw first resulting in a loss of possession multiple times. Robertson- Again along with Elliot one of the brightest sparks of the team so far this season, always running, always challenging and always driving the team forward, sadly the same is not reciprocated. Konate- Konate had some good moments pushing the team at the start of the second half with an attempt on goal, however one of the more forgettable players on the pitch for better or worse. Gomez- Gomez can sometimes come on and look great and other games not so much. Today sadly was the latter of the two, evidently shaken by the first offside goal and looked weak in set pieces after. Milner- Whilst I think an older role model such as Miler or Hendo can often be a strong tool within the team, Milner should certainly not be playing as a RB against a top side anymore. Milner also let the ball go for a corner at the very start of the game which led to Chelsea’s offside goal. Trent- Trent came on in the last third of the game and drove up the tempo at times making good attempts to get forward and advance on goal. Whilst I understand why Klopp may have benched him for this game, I feel we need someone to properly contest him for his position if we’re going to see a rise in form. Allison- Allison played well today as almost always, it’s scary to think of the position we may be in at the moment if anybody else was in that net. As far as Hendo and Fab, it didn’t feel like they made enough of an impact in those last 20 mins to say much about them.

Looking at this game, it's pretty clear that the current first team is out of steam and ideas. The entire midfield needs a revamp at this point. The forwards are playing pretty average, it has changed alot since last season so maybe next season they'll improve a bit more. Nunez and gapko show promise but I think they need a bit more time. If we had Diaz and jota fit, I think more goals would be coming through.

Elliot is Klopp’ love child. The boy has done ghosting along with his hero Mo and they still on the pitch. Loyalties and sentimental are killing this once great team.

Here is what I believe. This team has had a solid run in the past years. What to do now? Expect Salah, and Van Dijk particularly since they will be the declines in the years to come to start to mentor their replacements. Teach Nunez to lose that urgency, I feel like there is some disarray in the team. Not saying that there is a quarrel, its just not working. some pieces have been over used and people now know what to do with them.

Without some serious reinforcement to the squad, we probably need to brace ourselves for the end of this Liverpool successful era.

Awful performance, and bad tactics! Elliot on the left and Gakpo in the middle in both halves?!!! That was just illogical... Gakpo wasn't a smart signing IMHO if he's to play in the middle, he's just way too clunky for his young age in our system at the moment! Losing Jota and Diaz upfront just completed our dismantle in the forward line. And why Fabio isn't getting any minutes?... I'm huge Salah fan, but he's been utterly underperforming, and he shouldn't be starting until he get's a grip!
