I can't really explain why, but Millner seems like the perfect choice to start this new podcast off. Robinson should be fun. They all will.

I would say 17/18 and 19/20 he had some great moments. All those assists in UCL that year for the final run to Kyiv, 19/20- great few pens and that. Obviously ppl r being critical now and picking him apart, but yeah has been a good part of the team. Not ur first name on there like Gini, Hendo, Fab, now Thiago but yeah good part of the team

@Mads Brundbjerg Because by those parameters, with our history every other player would be a legend. Legends turn games on their own, even win trophies on their own (eg: Gerrard, Rush, Dalglish, Barnes, Fowler) You ever seen Milner consistently be a difference-maker in games? As I said, I love the guy - but for me at least, not in the legend category.
Mads Brundbjerg

@EyeDeal_666 But if you're solid, likeable, dependable, profesisional and ultra but not a legend, what do you have to do then to become one?
EyeDeal_666
Ай бұрын
@mediacenter man I actually agree with you. He's had a great premier league career, but he's no Liverpool legend - I hate the way we throw that term at every other player nowadays. Solid? Yes. Likeable? Yes Dependable? Yes Professional? Ultra-yes! but no way a Liverpool legend.

@Keith O Rourke Exactly my thoughts. If not a manager a coach in some capacity. He'd be great with the youth set up too if that opportunity came up. I think no matter what, he will be offered a job once his playing days are over as he's such a great asset in every way.
Keith O Rourke
Ай бұрын
@A Wee Dander 100% mate I think with he’s attitude he’d be a fantastic manager in the future ! I love Gerrard as a player but I’d don’t think he would be a great fit as a Liverpool manager purely because of him being so good as a player for us , I think he’d end up bigger than the players if that makes sense! But I think a player like James would actually do a better job and have more compassion as a manager just because he wasn’t a superstar for us a fantastic servant to the club but not a superstar

James Milner may not have been the one to score all these pivotal goals, but as we all know, he was a major part in the club and team getting over the hurdle of winning trophies again. What he brings to the table can't be measured, and if he stays on after his playing days or not, he will most definitely be remembered as a Liverpool legend.
